WHAT I'M RECENTLY LOVING: FEBRUARY
Being at home has brought out the extreme shopper in everyone including myself. I’ve always loved to shop and try new things but being home has really made me want to pick up and try every new item I see. A few years back I featured my fab finds on the blog and theres no better time to bring that back. Here’s some things that I’ve been loving recently…
Honey Pot Pads - I've tried some Honey Pot products a few years back (and enjoyed them) but I always had my sights set to try the herbal pads. I must admit I was a little skeptical and held off on purchasing them because I didn't believe that they would hold up for me. After rave reviews from my Instagram followers on how great the pads are and how they changed the flow of their period, I purchased the overnight herbal pads with wings during the Honey Pot’s Black Friday sale. Not only do I love the fact that there is a plant based feminine care line created by a black woman, I LOVE THESE PADS. They hold up while being the perfect thinness but the best thing about these pads is that they have a cooling effect (I never knew I needed a cooling effect until now ) from the mint and have a great scent from the lavender they are infused with. Kindroot Adaptogens - I featured the Kindroot Adaptogens in my 2020 holiday gift guide and I have been loving them ever since. Adaptogens are a special class of plants & mushrooms that help your body balance while adapting to and resisting negative effects of stress and let’s face it… we are still in a pandemic. I have the ‘snooze’ and the ‘mood’ lozenges and I definitely noticed a difference in myself when I take them. I’m so relaxed when I take a mood lozenge( I calmly sunk into my couch LoL!) and when I take a snooze lozenge right before bed, I drift off to sleep and stay sleep longer through out the night with little to no tossing and turning ( like I normally do ) Kindroot Adaptogens Lozenges - $19.99
Airwick Oil Diffuser - My best friend loves all things home and decor and she sent me an Airwick oil diffuser in the mail a few months back. Well, things escalated quickly and I now have three oil diffusers in my home! In the package comes the diffuser, scented oil, and batteries. Pop everything in the diffuser, set how you want the mist to be expelled and you’re all set. I have one in my bedroom, one in my hallway and one in my bathroom ( all the same scent) and my apartment always smells amazing.
iPhone 12 Pro Max - I always upgrade my iPhone when a major phone comes out. I was a little hesitant to get this new phone but I decided to upgrade and I do not regret it. I use my phone to run both my businesses and I find that having a larger phone helps the phone not slide out of my hand when I’m working. The camera quality on this iPhone blew me away as I don’t think I’ve ever seen a crisper cleaner picture on any other iPhone I’ve had in the past. And the phone reacts faster than any other iPhone I’ve had in the past as well. The Lavender Sachet Soaps - Another item that I had in my 2020 holiday gift guide were these fabulous hand crafted soaps from The Lavender Sachet. These soaps come in amazing colors and fragrances and are the perfect accessory to your bathroom decor. I bought a bunch and I really enjoy having and using these scented soaps in my bathroom. Silicon 3D Face Mask Guards - As we continue to adjust and live in this new pandemic norm, masks have become apart of our daily lives. If you even move in a mask there’s a chance your mask has stuck to your face, shifted, made an indent in your face after a long day and more. And let’s not forget walking & breathing in a mask…. some days I’m fine and other days I’m gasping for air. These silicon mask inserts may look intense but once you put it on your face and put your mask over it, you instantly feel the enhancement in your mask. Momofuku Soy Sauce & Tamari - I’ve always been a fan of the Momofuku brand and like everyone else this restaurant group had to switch things up while we are still in a pandemic. They started producing pantry items that they actually use in their restaurants and I did not hesitate to order the soy sauce & tamari combo pack, even though I had to get on the waitlist to order them. Both the soy sauce and the tamari are wonderfully powerful in flavor; like as soon as I tasted them I said wow this is the real deal. You will absolutely taste the umami flavor on your tongue and I can say I’ve never had soy sauce this rich and flavorful before. Both of these are great items to have in your kitchen to add extra flavor to your cooking.
