WHAT I WANT FOR 2019
New Year, New Me.
I purposely waited for February to come. The start of the new year brings a lot of "wanting" to start over because it’s ingrained in us to want to start new January 1st. Well this year, I decided to switch it up and to be honest, I also just wasn't into it. I've been on a small burst of breaks lately or a hiatus if you will. I desperately needed to slow my mind down, so I've been laying low. As you can see not a lot of blog posts have been happening and my Instagram post are spaced out more.
I decided to take the last few months of the year off to just be present. Present in being with my friends, getting as much sleep as I want and need, eating whatever I want and also present in simply not doing anything. And definitely not feeling bad about it. I highly recommend doing this every once in a while !
To put it simply, I feel amazing.
As we start a new February, I feel well rested and ready to jump back in the swing of things. Looking ahead, I decided to not set goals for 2019 per se, but there are a few things I wanted to streamline, get better at, or include.
Here’s What I Want For 2019.
Streamline My Brand - In the coming weeks you will see things changing with Eating Fabulously. I'm giving a slight update to the website and including more branded additions across social media. I've been feeling really good lately and I want to update things to show that. Over the next few months you will see more of me and my personal life, I'm adding a lot more merch to the shop and I'm launching FAB University. Subscribe to my newsletter and follow me on Instagram because FAB University will come in video and email form.
By the end of this year, I'm aiming for a whole new brand to emerge. Fingers crossed.
Streamline Myself - There’s always room for improvement within oneself and this year just like my blog I’m streamlining myself. I want to work on improving my tardiness, making sure I’m fully getting what I want out of any situation, and continue to be uniquely Christopher. I want to continue practicing my listening and my responding skills. I find that I am becoming very vocal in what I like and what I don’t like and that is a large part of growing up.
Become An Advocate for Women and Girls - I have always loved being a woman. I don’t know how I’m going to achieve this just yet but the older I’ve become, I see how important it is to rally and uplift girls and women. You could say we are in the fight for our lives and it is imperative that I figure out a way to make every girl and woman that crosses my path feel as fabulous as I can. I have been looking at the term “feminist” and diving into all the definitions that it comes with and I’m taking little pieces away from each definition. I really hope I can empower some fab women some way in 2019.
Give More & Wholeheartedly - In 2018 after doing some random acts of kindness behind the scenes, I came to the conclusion that I truly enjoy giving. I’m never seeking anything in return when I give and I feel like the best part about it, is that I get to do something for someone else. In 2018 I gave a tremendous amount of money to various people through out the year, donated to Chef Jose Andre’s World Central Kitchen and just lots of mini surprises here and there for people. I LOVED seeing the reaction on peoples faces and actually doing the act, so I want to do more of this in 2019.
A fresh new year is always a great start to re-evaluate everything. There is never a need to stay the same, so allow a new 365 days to bring you everything you need to be fabulously you!
